Smoother gameplay with refreshed visuals, sounds, and a familiar vanilla feel.

Better FPS & Visuals is a lightweight, client-side modpack that aims to improve performance, visuals, interface, and sound while keeping vanilla Minecraft gameplay unchanged. It refreshes the look of the game with resource-pack textures, enhanced lighting, player animations, 3D skin layers, wavey capes, dynamic lights, and support for shaders; included resource packs and shaders can be disabled in the menu. Interface and convenience additions include a world preview and map, inventory sorting, crafting tweaks, an armor status display, improved mouse dragging, item swapping without opening the inventory, and a zoom feature. The pack also includes refined sound effects and ambiance, and is designed to work with vanilla servers without requiring server-side changes.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.7 · Fabric, 11 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked all 69 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 60 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (11 Jul 2025) in the 57 mods we checked.
2 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
3 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
