A modpack that will make Minecraft more realistic.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 139 graded mods, 128 are graded A or B, 11 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 2 weeks ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
Better Realism is a vanilla-inspired modpack that makes survival feel more lifelike through visual, audio, and environmental changes while retaining Minecraft’s familiar character. Complementary Reimagined and Complementary Unbound shaders, used with Iris and Sodium, provide enhanced lighting and rendering, while Visuality, Falling Leaves, and Ambient Environment add environmental effects such as falling foliage. Sound Physics Remastered and AmbientSounds 6 create more atmospheric soundscapes, and Presence Footsteps, Camera Overhaul, Not Enough Animations, and Better Animations Collection make movement and perspective feel more natural. Immersive Furniture, Beautify: Refabricated, and Ecologics add decor and biome content, while Living Things and Nyf’s Spiders expand the selection of creatures. Better Combat and YDM’s Weapon Master refine combat, and FancyMenu, BetterF3, Controlling, and Pick Up Notifier improve interface and control conveniences. Performance-focused tools including Sodium, Krypton, and FerriteCore help balance the visual effects with smooth play, and shader settings or heavier effects can be adjusted to suit the player’s system.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric, 9 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 27 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 141 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 134 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 118 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
13 other mods show AI use only from after this release (9 Oct 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
16 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
