Shaders to enhance the look of Minecraft.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 23 graded mods, 23 are graded A or B, 0 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 20 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.4. See the mods
Better Shaders is a modpack intended to improve Minecraft’s visual quality and immersion, bringing together shaders and major world-generation changes. Its terrain generation combines Noisium, Tectonic, and Terralith, while YUNG’s structure overhauls include Better Desert Temples, Better Dungeons, and Better Jungle Temples. Bliss shaders are supported through Iris, and Xaero’s Minimap and World Map provide in-game navigation tools. The pack also includes performance-focused mods such as Indium, Lithium, and Sodium, though it calls for a powerful computer.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.4 · Fabric, 23 Feb 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 1 Feb 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 25 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 25 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 16 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
9 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
