Explore a dark world, build, and encounter vampires along the way.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 65 graded mods, 23 are graded A or B, 9 C and 33 D to F. Its last update came out 4.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Betweenlands is a modpack built around the Betweenlands and Vampirism, with building and exploration focused on making the Betweenlands a self-contained world where you can accomplish everything without visiting the Overworld. It reshapes the setting by removing most vanilla items and retexturing many of those that remain, while modded items are often renamed, retextured, or remodeled to fit the Betweenlands; recipes are changed as well. Its content includes custom structures and weapons, Vampirism hunters, overhauled Vampirism textures, redstone features, Waystones, and hopper pipes and uppers. An in-game guide explains the modpack’s changes, and quality-of-life additions include FenceJumper, WallJump, Gravestone, and Xaero’s maps. The pack also aims to accommodate simple added mods with recipes that should be adapted automatically.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 22 Mar 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 13 Apr 2019 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 67 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 65 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 33 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
32 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
