Curated Vanilla+ modpack with Origins.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 73 graded mods, 22 are graded A or B, 12 C and 39 D to F. Its last update came out 5.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.16.5. See the mods
Essential Fabric is a lightweight Vanilla+ modpack that keeps a familiar Minecraft experience while adding Origins and a broad set of gameplay, exploration, building, and convenience changes. Origins, Extra Origins, Mob Origins, Origins: Classes, and Haema add selectable character abilities and identity-focused play, while artifacts, trinkets, and Daemonic expand equipment options. Exploration includes new biomes through Vanilla+ Biomes and Lakeside, additional structures from Repurposed Structures, travel via Fabric Waystones, and mapmaking with Antique Atlas. For building and decoration, the pack includes Adorn, Chisel Decor, Mo Glass, Skinned Lanterns, and Bedspreads. Practical gameplay additions include Vanilla Hammers and Vanilla Excavators, Golden Hoppers and funnels for item handling, Comforts, Better Graves, and craftable horse armor and saddles. The pack also includes quality-of-life features such as SimpleHarvest, XP Storage, AppleSkin, Enchantment Descriptions, and Roughly Enough Items for recipe reference. It is designed to run on low-end computers that can run vanilla Minecraft, with Sodium or Canvas available as optional additions for performance or shaders, respectively.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 21 Apr 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 Apr 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 80 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 48 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
32 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
