About
Haema adds a vampire playstyle in which players gain abilities as they progress, including improved night vision, dashing, daytime sleep, invisibility, extra health, and greater strength. To become a vampire, players can find vampire blood in dungeons or temples, or obtain it from a cleric, then use a crafted injector while under Strength II; players with Origins or Bewitchment installed can also use those mods’ routes to becoming a vampire. Vampires replace hunger with a need for blood, feeding by sneaking and interacting with eligible mobs; feeding on awake villagers can summon Vampire Hunters. A Ritual Altar lets vampires upgrade abilities through rituals, while the craftable Book of Blood provides in-game guidance and information about the rituals. Vampires are especially vulnerable to the sun, wooden swords, and Smite, which can deliver a killing blow; Vampire Hunters attack from range with crossbows and switch to Smite-enchanted wooden swords to finish them off. Gameplay can be customized with gamerules and datapack tags.
