A small set of Fabric mods that improve the game, without altering gameplay.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 71 graded mods, 50 are graded A or B, 11 C and 10 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Fabric Essentials is a graphics, sound, interface, and performance-focused modpack that enhances Minecraft’s presentation while leaving gameplay largely unchanged, so it remains compatible with vanilla worlds and servers. It includes preconfigured Complementary shaders, customized resource packs including a modified Stay True pack and the dark UI from Vanilla Additions, plus varied connected textures and improved grass. Visual effects include additional particles and effects, while audio changes add new sounds and sound physics; the pack also describes improved weather. UI additions make menus more polished and understandable, with optional armor and inventory-preview HUDs and a zoom feature. The pack also targets faster loading after the first load and improved performance, including with shaders, though results depend on hardware and configuration.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Fabric, 8 May 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
4 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 7 May 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 77 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 72 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (8 May 2022) in the 63 mods we checked.
6 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
9 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
