Effective is a client-side mod that enriches Minecraft’s ambience with configurable particles, visual effects, and environmental sounds. Water effects include splashes, droplets, and ripples when entities enter water, rain ripples, flowing-water droplets, waterfall clouds and mist, and blue-glowing plankton effects in warm oceans; underwater chests can also emit bubbles when opened. The mod adds biome-aware fireflies, Will o’ Wisps in soul sand valleys, and seasonal eyes in the dark, along with Chorus petals around Chorus trees and falling from broken Chorus flowers. Other creature and combat effects include allay trails, glow squid effects, screen shake from Warden, Ravager, and Ender Dragon roars or Warden sonic booms, and enhanced visuals for fireballs, dragon breath, and spectral arrows. Ambient audio varies by environment, with examples including bees and birds in daytime biomes, crickets and owls at night, rustling foliage, cave and desert winds, and water sounds in rivers, oceans, and caves. Players can customize or disable individual effects in the configuration, and the client-side effects work when connecting to a vanilla server.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
Point at or tap a version to see its loaders.
These projects do not work together with Effective: their authors or Effective's author say so. If you install both, the game can crash or some features can stop working. Some of them do the same job as Effective, so you only need one.
