A lightweight modpack that helps your game run faster.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 72 graded mods, 69 are graded A or B, 3 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 8 days ago, for Minecraft 26.2. See the mods
FrostClient is a performance-focused Minecraft client modpack designed for competitive play, with a tuned Fabric mod stack and a choice of Vulkan or OpenGL rendering for balancing speed and hardware compatibility. It combines chunk-loading, memory, networking and startup optimizations with entity and foliage culling, and includes more than 50 built-in mods that can be browsed, enabled and configured from the client. PvP tools include totem tracking and offhand warnings, TNT timers, hit feedback, a customizable crosshair and on-screen keystrokes. Customization and quality-of-life features include an in-game settings menu and drag-and-drop HUD editor, freelook, zoom, motion blur, custom skies, brightness and aspect-ratio controls, proximity voice chat, a friend list, and free unlockable cloaks. The client also comes with ready-to-use resource packs, including a Zipp CPvP pack, a lightweight pack for lower-powered systems and a dedicated PvP crosshair pack. The Modrinth mod browser lets players find and add compatible extras from inside Frost, while its custom main menu and synchronized nearby-player badges and cloaks add client-specific presentation features.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric, 16 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 10 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 74 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 73 of its 74 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 74 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
