Build a city and survive in a steampunk frozen world | Create, Minecolonies, TerraSnow
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 68 graded mods, 64 are graded A or B, 3 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 5 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Iron Frost is a relaxed survival and city-building modpack set in a snowy, steampunk world, where you can establish a base or fortress and hire and manage citizens to grow a colony. Create provides steam-powered automation and machinery, with train tracks for traveling and delivering supplies; its additions include Aeronautics, Big Cannons, Create Deco, Copycats, Slice & Dice, and The Factory Must Grow. The terrain combines Terralith and Tectonic generation with snow-focused changes, creating sparse forests, frozen rivers, ice caves, and frozen oceans, though oceans can also range from normal to cold rather than fully frozen. Naturally generating cabins offer places to make a home, while environmental additions such as Naturalist, Presence Footsteps, and ambient sound mods shape exploration. The cold setting is designed for a laid-back playthrough, without harsh weather or unusually challenging mobs.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 13 May 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 68 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 65 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
