Build a powerful skyblock world with quests and less grinding.

Project Overpowered is a beginner-friendly skyblock modpack built around progressing from a small void island toward powerful equipment, automation, and creative-tier endgame goals, with more than 200 quests and an approach designed to reduce early grind. The starting world is a classic skyblock with no other islands or structures; players develop their own island, while a mining dimension unlocked early provides a resource-gathering world with caves, strongholds, lava, and four-times vanilla ore generation. Progression introduces modded systems including Tinkers’ Construct, Project E, Mekanism, Chickens, Applied Energistics 2, Botania, Roots, and Industrial Foregoing, with quest guidance aimed at helping newcomers learn the major mods. Vanilla tools have only one durability, encouraging players to use Tinkers’ Construct tools such as the mattock for farming, and repeatedly pressing sneak near a sapling speeds its growth, with green particles indicating the effect. A custom shop uses Skyblock Currency for loot crates and EMC for chickens and machine blueprints; its twelve featured blueprints cover four progression tiers, and shop chickens support their own questline. Custom multiblock machinery is central to the later game: blueprints show the required blocks and machine recipes, and an Overpowered Wrench can automatically construct a printed machine when the player has the materials. Machines provide distinctive progression tools, including a Flower Enhancer that replaces Roots rituals for special flowers, a Mystical Drill that mines ores and valuable items across three tiers, and an Electronic Constructor for AE2 terminals, processors, and fusion injectors. The endgame culminates in the Nexus of the Void and Creative Assembler, which support the final creative-item progression after players complete the quest chapters, including Path to Ascendance.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 12 Oct 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 8 Feb 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked all 133 mods, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 133 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 6 of the 73 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
60 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
