Live in the Caribbean Sea, where you can encounter pirates or become one.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 80 graded mods, 25 are graded A or B, 19 C and 36 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Sea of Pirates is a pirate-themed Minecraft modpack built around sailing, ship combat, coastal settlement, and exploration across a Caribbean setting. Players can assemble physics-based vessels, equip them with guns, and raid rivals, while building covetowns and gathering the parts needed to steer and sail; ship buoyancy can be adjusted with wood or Valkyrium blocks and by reducing heavy cargo. The pack adds pirate and treasure-hunting content alongside aquatic life and fishing, including the Pirates mod, Treasure2!, Aquaculture 2, Just a Few Fish, and Giacomo's Fishing Net. Its broader world and building additions include Mo' Creatures and Better Animals Plus, weather and storms, Dynamic Trees, and Macaw's bridges, furniture, roofs, windows, and doors. The featured multiplayer setting was a 1:2000-scale Earth replica with Jamaica as the starting point, but the server is currently closed and reserved for a future project.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 7 Sep 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 11 Jun 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 82 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 81 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (7 Sep 2022) in the 37 mods we checked.
3 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
44 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
