A horror modpack with scarier weather, caves, and eerie sounds.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 63 graded mods, 57 are graded A or B, 4 C and 2 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
The Broken Script Enhanced is a lightweight horror modpack that builds on The Broken Script with supporting mods intended to heighten fear and paranoia while preserving the original mod’s tone. It adds multiplayer support through Essential Mod and Simple Voice Chat, along with Sound Physics Remastered, Tense Ambience, and visual and ambient effects that make weather, caves, and damage more unsettling. Its additional content includes structure and world additions such as Explorify, Farlands Reborn, Repurposed Structures, YUNG’s Better Witch Huts, and YUNG’s Bridges, as well as threats and atmosphere from Nyf’s Spiders and Zombie Awareness. Visual and gameplay details include 3D Skin Layers, Dynamic Lights, Falling Leaves, Particle Rain, 3D Ladders, and a 3D Mace. Sodium and other performance-focused mods help keep the pack optimized, while shaders are disabled by default and several options, including BSL, Complementary Reimagined, and Insanity, are available to enable.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 3 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 29 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 63 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 55 of its 56 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 56 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
