An expert pack created to highlight neglected item from various mods.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 135 graded mods, 60 are graded A or B, 24 C and 51 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Undiscovered is an expert, tiered-progression modpack built to encourage players to explore underused features and items across its technology, magic, and other mods, rather than relying on excessive grind or a large volume of micro-quests. Its intertwined progression keeps magic and technology as separate journeys at first, then brings them together to unlock endgame mods such as RFTools Dimensions and Draconic Evolution, with more than one route available for some steps. The pack’s 150 quests and more than 500 recipe adjustments support that progression, while highlighting less familiar mechanics such as brewing vodka with Binnie’s Mods, using Immersive Engineering’s alloy kiln, and processing materials with Magneticraft’s crushing table and sluice box. Players can choose different approaches to exploration and resource gathering, from searching for a first furnace or farming iron trees with Rustic to obtaining tungsten through bee DNA or aerotheum, and collecting ores with a Silent’s Gems pickaxe, an Actually Additions laser ore generator, or an RFTools Builder in the Deep Dark. The world defaults to a modified Lost Cities generation with rarer cities, expanded building materials, and additions such as trash piles, evil rooms, and Astral Sorcery viewing platforms; ruins can also include small huts, mining shafts, and ocean ships. Customized loot tables make chests more worthwhile and traps more dangerous, while adjusted ore generation adds resources such as iridium and osmatic steel and makes overworld redstone scarce compared with redstone in other dimensions. For a less combat-focused playthrough, a peaceful pack mode can be enabled to unlock recipes for mob drops that would otherwise be unobtainable in peaceful mode.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 26 May 2018). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 20 May 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 142 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 142 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (26 May 2018) in the 83 mods we checked.
6 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
59 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
