About
Arc is a configurable Minecraft shader that aims to deliver realistic, high-quality visuals while keeping performance loss low. Its visual effects include HDR, PBR materials, dynamic colored block lighting, volumetric fog and light, automatic exposure, screen-space reflections, water waves and refraction, depth of field, bloom, and adjustable shadow mapping. Atmosphere options range from a simple blended sky to a computed realistic atmosphere, with controls for haze and cave fog; other settings let players adjust exposure, tonemapping, shadow behavior, ambient brightness, and waving foliage. It supports vanilla-style material values and resource packs using LabPBR or OldPBR formats, including a dedicated Patrix format, with options such as parallax depth and subsurface scattering for compatible materials. Arc also has special support for Physics Mod ocean waves and snow.
