AstraLex Shaders is a highly configurable Minecraft Java shaderpack, based on an edit of BSL with additional options and modifications drawn from LexShino Shaders. Its core rendering effects include realtime shadows, water and clouds, volumetric lighting, ambient occlusion, bloom, depth of field, distance blur, motion blur, chromatic aberration, and tone mapping with anti-aliasing. Optional atmospheric and stylized effects include cel shading, constellations, shooting stars, nebulae, a planet or Majora’s Mask moon, CRT scanlines, rain on the screen, and heat haze in the Nether, Badlands, and deserts. Settings let players adjust effects such as cel-shading strength, blur quality, shadow quality, rain refraction, vignette, film grain, and bloom overlays, or enable features such as a bow and projectile aim indicator and light-level visibility in dark areas. The pack also changes in-game lighting and visual feedback, with dynamic hand light, colored mob eyes, enchanted-item glints, and flashes that help reveal mobs in darkness.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes how the game looks: 35 shader programs, for the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Draws its own shadows, water, sky, clouds and weather.
Settings in English, French and Chinese.
No harmful code found
We checked what is inside its files, without opening them in the game.
Why we show this: a shader cannot run programs, but its file can hide one. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade.
Sends nothing
A shader has no code that can connect to the internet, so it cannot send anything about you.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
