A tech and adventure pack with quests, bosses, and new worlds.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 380 graded mods, 292 are graded A or B, 79 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 3 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Over Stars is a technology-and-RPG modpack built around a challenging, integrated progression campaign rather than a kitchen-sink collection of mods. Its main questline spans four chapters and more than 1,000 quests, guiding players through five technology stages: steampunk, advanced steampunk, engineering, space, and sci-fi. Technology from Create, Immersive Engineering, Ad Astra, and Mekanism is woven into that progression, with custom recipes and mechanics intended to make the added content fit together. A villager-based RPG quest system offers side quests and dungeon-busting scroll quests, while completing scroll quests can improve a player skill tree. Exploration includes five planets, a new dimension, and overhauled Overworld, Nether, and End areas with more than 80 new biomes and hundreds of structures, including revamped villages and strongholds. The campaign also features puzzles, combat challenges, tougher vanilla bosses, more than a dozen additional bosses, and new mobs, animals, weapons, and tools. Players can use magic from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and Ars Nouveau, and the pack adds farming and butchery systems alongside new food and other items. Designed for solo or multiplayer play, the pack also includes revamped vanilla features and a demanding endgame.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 18 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 14 Jul 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 377 of its 383 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 351 of its 352 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 19 of the 298 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
54 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
