About
Advanced Rocketry turns Minecraft into a space-exploration and resource-gathering sandbox, letting players build custom rockets and warp ships to travel among procedurally generated or custom-defined planets and moons across multiple solar systems. Worlds vary in size, temperature, distance from their star, and atmospheric composition, with hazards ranging from vacuum and low oxygen to extreme heat and pressure; alien landscapes include blue-grassed Alien Forests, icy Crystal Chasms, Moon Dust terrain, and volcanic wastes with lava oceans. Progression moves from manufacturing components in multiblock machines such as the Electric Arc Furnace, Lathe, Crystallizer, and Precision Assembler to assembling, fueling, and launching rockets whose parts and propulsion choices affect their configuration. Planetary discovery is supported by research, beacons, observatories, and data-collecting satellites, while satellite data can reveal destinations and help determine asteroid properties for mining missions. Players can build space stations in orbit around planets or moons, equip them with gravity generators, and use specialized satellites for orbital solar power, ore scanning, and biome changes. Asteroid expeditions offer both manual and automated harvesting, and gas giants can be mined for gas or fluids; railguns can also transfer goods between planets and stations. Terraforming and biome-changing systems let players alter planetary environments, while XML options allow custom planet definitions and recipes, including mapping dimensions from other mods to Advanced Rocketry worlds. The mod also includes black-hole generators that produce power on stations orbiting black holes, along with machinery for processing resources and manufacturing rocket parts.
