A modpack with quests to guide you through many different mods.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 229 graded mods, 87 are graded A or B, 37 C and 105 D to F. Its last update came out 5.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Enigmatica 2 is a large kitchen-sink modpack whose quest book offers more than 800 quests to guide players through its many mods. Its broad mix spans building tools such as Chisels & Bits, Chisel, and Building Gadgets; technology including Mekanism, Applied Energistics, NuclearCraft, Thermal Expansion, and Ender IO; and magic such as Astral Sorcery, Thaumcraft, Botania, Blood Magic, and Embers. Exploration adds dimensions and destinations including the Twilight Forest, Lost Cities, RFTools Dimensions, and custom planets and solar systems, while Biomes O’ Plenty expands the world’s biomes. The pack aims to keep its systems balanced without gating, and its power generation is extensively adjusted so that a wider range of generators can be worthwhile; Mekanism also allows IndustrialCraft 2 EU and RF energy to be converted in either direction.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 3 Jul 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 6 Mar 2021 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 236 of its 237 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 236 of its 237 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 126 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
111 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
