Follow quests through a challenging world of magic, machines, and exploration.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 257 graded mods, 98 are graded A or B, 42 C and 117 D to F. Its last update came out 3 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Enigmatica 2: Expert is an expert questing modpack that guides players through a long, interconnected progression, with more than 650 quests and an end goal of completing the Bragging Rights questline by crafting one of every craftable creative item. Progress is gated across technology and magic tiers, but players can choose among several mods at each stage as they work toward the materials needed for the endgame; the questbook includes paths for systems such as Mekanism, Thermal Expansion, Immersive Engineering, Botania, Astral Sorcery, and RFTools. The pack substantially reworks crafting with custom recipes, extending progression across a broad mix of technology, magic, adventure, and building mods, including Applied Energistics, NuclearCraft, Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Twilight Forest, Chisel, and Building Gadgets. Exploration brings tougher threats such as dragons, sea serpents, and heavily armored zombies, alongside custom worlds, planets, and solar systems to discover.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 7 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 4 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 265 of its 269 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 264 of its 269 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 9 of the 142 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
127 mods are not checked yet.
An AI tool may have been used
Claude Code is named in the ignore list of its repository.
This does not show that it was used to make the files you download.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
