    About

    Ancient Elements expands Minecraft’s resource and equipment progression with around 20 new ores and materials that generate across dimensions and in particular biomes or at certain heights. Materials can be refined into ingots and equipment, but progression requires working through the resource tiers: some stronger tools require Netherite, while weaker materials do not. The mod adds hammers and drills as alternatives to pickaxes: hammers can fight and mine a 3×3 area of stone or ore, while drills mine eligible blocks quickly, with speed depending on material. Its Mineral Compounder fuses and refines minerals, crystals, and elemental materials into alloys and components used for late-game tools, weapons, and upgrades. Exploration brings new creatures, including Earth, Water, Wind, and Void Elementals, which drop resources used in crafting elemental weapons or summoning greater challenges. Players can also explore the Crystal Caverns, a crystal-filled cave biome with hazardous terrain, unusual creatures, and resources used in crafting, brewing, and building. The endgame challenge is the Ancient Elemental Boss; defeating it unlocks Aeonite, used to forge the mod’s top-tier tools and armor.
