Ascendra is a modpack built around exploration, magic, technology, and a progression designed to keep players moving toward new challenges. Its overhauled world generation adds new biomes and varied terrain, with more than 500 structures to discover across the world. Exploration leads to new dimensions and encounters with powerful bosses, including a dragon, a celestial jellyfish, Scylla, and Apollyon. Players can learn magic and cast spells, while expanded armor and weapons support combat against the pack’s new enemies and bosses. Better Combat enhances fighting, and immersive questlines provide a guided thread through the pack’s progression. Technology mods let players automate tasks, while Farmer’s Delight supports cooking and a slower pace of farming and building. With more than 440 mods, Ascendra combines these challenges with room to build a home and enjoy the world at a relaxed pace.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 7 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 28 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 471 of its 474 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 445 of its 447 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 24 of the 365 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
82 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
