BetterDefaultBiomes expands and tweaks the vanilla world with configurable additions, including mobs, plants, generation features, and gameplay options. It adds 14 mobs, with new-mob difficulty scaling, and includes creatures such as desert bandits, the jungle-dwelling Hunter, the rail-side Lost Miner, ducks, zebras, frogs, and camels. The Hunter fires faster, straighter arrows than a skeleton, with its firing rate doubling on Hard, while desert bandits appear in several combat roles, including swordsmen, archers, and crossbow-wielding arbalists. World additions include two new trees and wood types, 12 flowers and plants, and small rocks, seashells, sandcastles, starfish, and pinecones that generate across relevant Overworld terrain. These decorative and natural blocks have practical interactions: small rocks can be thrown or crafted into full blocks, pinecones can fuel smelting or grow a small spruce tree with bonemeal, and starfish can be dyed or made to glow with glowstone dust. The mod also adds three arrows, new foods, six advancements, and enchantments such as Smelting Touch for mining, Scout for revealing nearby mobs, and Hunting for increased damage against animals. Horse armor enchantments include protection against several damage types and Feather Falling, while Floating lets horses stay afloat in water. Sixteen additional trades are available from fletchers and wandering traders. Generation options let players adjust or disable features such as pinecones, seashells, sandcastles, starfish, and small rocks, with controls for their frequency or biome placement.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
Not checked yet
Its author does not let other sites download its files from CurseForge, so we cannot check them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
What it sends is not known yet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files, images and sounds yet.
AI in the game: not checked yet
We have not read its code for AI yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
