About
Craft and Hunt is a vanilla-plus mod centered on hunting creatures for drops, then crafting those materials into equipment and upgrading it. Its content includes creature-themed armor and tools, offhand items, traps such as the snap trap, bone spikes, and an in-game guidebook for crafting and effects. Examples of its progression include upgrading bee armor into nest and hive armor for stronger Beetalion and poison-resistance effects, and upgrading magma glass armor with strider rocks into magma strider armor, which lets the wearer move and float in lava. Hunting can yield materials such as shark skin, bear hides, vampiric fangs, crab shells, and strider rocks, with built-in drops also supported for creatures from mods including Better Animals Plus, Quark, Animalium, More Living Things, Atum 2, Ice and Fire: Dragons, and Upgrade Aquatic. The mod also adds practical recipes, including bone ash made by burning bones and slime balls made by using bone ash at a water source. Its tag-based system lets modpack makers connect other items to armor effects, offhand effects, repair recipes, and creature drops, while configurable drop tables let them adjust or disable custom drops.
