    About

    Dungeons and Taverns Ancient City Overhaul is a standalone mod that reshapes Minecraft’s Ancient Cities and does not require the main Dungeons and Taverns mod. It replaces the open layout’s Deepslate Cobblestone rings with slimmer roads and walls, smaller houses and city sections, creating a denser maze where Shriekers may be hidden inside houses. The cities gain five types of large chambers, three kinds of alarm towers that use amethyst resonance to alert Shriekers, more compact Illager Camps with their own raid-loot chests, a second ice box, two amethyst boxes, small road lanterns, and soul-fire bonfires on pillars. Rubble and suspicious gravel in the houses support archaeology, offering finds such as enchanted books, skulls, and sherds. The revised city loot includes iron and gold ingots and nuggets, a rare chance of diamonds, and a wider range of iron and diamond tools and armor, while hoes and leggings remain the most common finds and armor trims are less frequent.
