Flaxbeard’s Steam Power is a technology mod centered on steam-powered machinery, tools, and equipment, designed to offer its own style of play rather than compete by simply outdoing other tech mods. Its Esteemed Innovation journal documents the mod’s gadgets, devices, concepts, and recipes, including recipes for alloying with metalcasting equipment. Metalcasting begins with a Carving Table, Crucible, and Mold, which let players cast and gild metals, make alloys such as brass, and form materials into plates, ingots, or nuggets. Players produce steam in boilers using fuel and water, then store it in tanks, move it through pipes, and monitor it with a steam gauge. Steam-powered machines include a Steam Heater that can heat furnaces and crucibles, improving smelting speed and efficiency while enabling better-cooked food, and a Steam Hammer that lets players use an anvil at a steam cost instead of spending experience. The mod also features upgradeable steam-powered armor and tools, including a modular Exosuit whose pieces can be fitted with upgrades at an Engineering Table. For automated mining, the Thumper breaks up rock below the surface without visible surface damage and leaves mined resources in the resulting hole for collection with a Vacuum.
Written from Modrinth and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
Adds 27 blocks, 126 items and 6 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.7.10.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
We have not read its changelogs yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
