Bringing Middle-earth to Minecraft.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 90 graded mods, 21 are graded A or B, 15 C and 54 D to F. Its last update came out 10.1 years ago, for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
TolkienCraft II is a fantasy-focused modpack that brings a quest-driven, MMO-style adventure to Minecraft, set in the land of Draconis and an expansive Middle-earth map. The story begins as the king calls for help against rising monster attacks, drawing players into a thriving town where they speak with NPCs, assist merchants, fight bosses, and uncover a threat to the land. Progress depends on following both the CustomNPC and HQM questlines together, with quest text and NPC conversations guiding the adventure. Beyond the central story, the pack supports freeform play: players can build, pursue farming, become warriors or mages, and even marry, within a magic-and-low-tech setting that leaves room for building and decoration. Exploration spans varied Overworld biomes from Biomes O’ Plenty, dungeon adventures, Ars Magica, and additional dimensions enabled by Witchery and Extra Utilities.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 31 Aug 2016). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
3 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 8 Jul 2016 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 95 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 95 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 43 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
52 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
