About
Hooked adds accessible grappling hooks as an alternative to creative flight for getting around the world, with hooks that pull the player toward their targets using constant force and do not require aiming along a firing arc. The hooks are accessed through a key rather than needing to be held, have no durability, and leave mining speed unimpaired while the player is moving, including underwater. Its progression runs from a slow, short-range Wood Hook to the Iron and Diamond Hooks, with the Diamond Hook supporting up to four hooks at once; the very fast Ender Hook and the Redstone Hook are sidegrades for different uses. The Ender Hook can reach targets almost instantly, while the Redstone Hook grants creative flight within the region bounded by its planted hooks, making it the builder-focused option. Datapacks can define custom hook types, adjusting their behavior and attributes as well as their textures and models.
