About
Immersive Railroading adds a life-size rail transport system to Minecraft, using real-world physics where practical and allowing trains to carry players, items, fluids, animals, and villagers. Players can build and operate movable locomotives and rolling stock through in-world multiblock machinery, crafting components such as rails, wheels, frames, and locomotive plates before assembling trains. Its flexible track system supports multiple gauges, including Brunel, standard, narrow, Minecraft, and model, and custom curves can span long distances and include sloped curves. Track augments automate loading and unloading of items and fluids, detect passing stock, control locomotive throttle, brakes, or horn, and slow trains; trains can also be coupled into consists. Villagers can be summoned to board passenger cars and disembark, while the mod can reward rail travel with emeralds. Resource packs let players add custom train models and rolling stock, extending the small selection included with the mod. OpenComputers integration can expose track augments for programmed train control and detection, including wireless locomotive control over a wider area.
