    About

    Isle of Berk Variant Loader extends Isle of Berk with data-pack-defined dragon variants, letting pack makers add variants or adjust existing ones and control where they can spawn and which variants can be obtained through breeding. Resource-pack model redirects can give variants distinct textures, models, animations, saddle textures, egg appearances, and glowing texture layers, while nametags can be used to display variants or apply their visual redirects. Data packs can also tailor hitboxes and attack boxes, reposition passengers, and define custom variant spawn and breeding pools; the mod adds advancement triggers and loot functions for pack authors. Variant inheritance applies across dragon species, and eggs can carry a variant that determines the dragon hatched; configurable inheritance and egg-assignment settings shape how variants pass through breeding and hatching. For added visual flexibility, passenger models can follow designated model bones, and client and server configuration options control features such as glowing layers, nametag variants, inheritance, breeding lists, and land navigation.
