About
Lib Block Attributes is a developer-facing library that lets mods expose and find block attributes, so blocks and machines can exchange items and fluids rather than adding gameplay content for players on its own. Its item-management API includes fixed-slot and grouped inventories, read-only views, insertion and extraction interfaces, filters, and utilities for moving items between compatible endpoints. The fluid API offers similar inventory, insertion, and extraction tools, using FluidKey to identify a fluid and FluidVolume to represent an amount; fluid quantities can use buckets, bottles, drips, or custom units. Mods can use these APIs to make block inventories available to automation such as pipes and hoppers, as illustrated by the guide’s small chest example.
