About
Music and Melody overhauls Minecraft’s music playback and provides an in-game player for browsing vanilla, modded, and custom music, with queueing, shuffle, looping, track controls, and saved playlists. Its soundtrack expansion adds a community-composed album with location-tailored music, including tracks for biomes, structures, caves, and the sky. Players can import their own music in .ogg, .mp3, .flac, or .wav formats, organize tracks into albums, and create, edit, and save playlists. Editable music events let players set playback conditions such as time, weather, dimension, or structure, and switch on presets for Strongholds, Ancient Cities, the Wither, snowy areas, Dark Forests, savannas, caves, oceans, Woodland Mansions, Nether Fortresses, and Trial Chambers, or a classic C418-only soundtrack. The mod rebalances vanilla music pools to reduce repetition and restore variety, and fixes playback issues such as Creative music failing to play and jukebox discs overlapping with background music. Players can change the music-player theme, while resource-pack, mod, and modpack creators can provide their own albums, playlists, events, and themes; online catalogs also let players browse and install additional content.
