Legacies is a heavily customized, vanilla-style survival overhaul that reworks Minecraft’s familiar progression and gameplay into a more expansive, integrated adventure. Its gear path adds materials and tiers such as copper, rose, remnant and featherzeal while keeping the familiar early survival steps, and an overhauled advancement system guides players through the main journey and the Overworld, Nether, End and Adventure. Exploration brings more than 20 new biomes alongside upgrades to familiar ones, with examples including the Golden Forest, Pine Taiga, Frozen Caves, Cypress Wetlands and Celestial Grove; new and reworked structures range from ruins, obelisks and dungeons to catacombs, Remnants and rebuilt Strongholds. The Nether gains new terrain and ore veins, while the End is expanded with unfamiliar biomes, mobs and structures, an overhauled Stronghold route, and a renewed Ender Dragon encounter. Combat changes include shields with a regenerating blocking-strength meter and timed parries, plus quivers that hold multiple arrow stacks and improve ranged-combat handling. Enchanting and repairing are rebuilt around customizable attributes such as Mana, Frost and Scorch, with specialized bookshelves and Tomes that shape enchantments and can enable blessings. Exploration rewards include rare artifacts such as the poison-inflicting Verdant Sword, a Molten Pickaxe that smelts mined blocks, and one-use Tablets with effects such as returning to spawn or revealing nearby entities. The pack also adds a broader soundscape with new biome music and ambient sounds while retaining Minecraft’s original songs. Legacies supports multiplayer through two public survival servers and temporary friend-join worlds opened with e4mc.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.1.2 · Fabric, 8 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 5 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 191 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
10 mods send something about you
We read the code of 186 of its 189 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 22 of the 189 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
