About
Mythic Mounts adds 14 tameable creatures that spawn in different biomes, with flying, aquatic, and land-dwelling mounts to discover and befriend. Its roster includes the village-dwelling Żar-ptak, the ocean-dwelling Archelon and Giant Nudibranch, forest-dwelling Courier Birds and Giant Moths, and the lava-walking Nightmare of the Soul Sand Valley and Basalt Deltas. Some mounts have distinctive behaviors: Acencia can climb sheer surfaces, Dire Wolves hunt sheep and skeletons, and the Riding Lizard is hostile and hunts rabbits and chickens. Taming involves repeatedly trying to ride a creature, though some may fight back; once tamed, mounts can be ridden, bred with a same-species partner using suitable food, and told to sit or stay put. Flying mounts gain altitude with repeated jumps and can be steered using camera controls, while aquatic mounts can boost their swimming underwater; mounts can also carry chests and horse armor, with inventory capacity varying by type. Mounts can defend their owners or assist in combat depending on their behavior, and a configurable summoning staff can teleport linked mounts and issue follow, wander, or sit commands. Feeding a baby mount a warped fungus makes it grow into a miniature version that only very small players can ride, while a crimson fungus cancels the effect before it matures. Configuration options let players adjust spawn settings, mount stats, inventory capacity, aggression, and AI behavior.
