About
Random Things is a collection of miscellaneous Minecraft blocks and items designed to add useful and playful features alongside other mods, rather than focus on one central theme. Its utility blocks include a Block Breaker that mines the block in front of it like an iron pickaxe and can send drops into an inventory, and a redstone-powered Block Destabilizer that makes connected blocks of the same type fall, with configurable limits and options for repeating a remembered shape. For exploration, a redstone-activated Biome Radar uses dungeon-found Biome Crystals to locate their represented biomes, then lets players retrieve the location as a position filter; Biome Blocks also change color to match their surroundings. Building and decoration additions include temporary Block of Sticks that vanish after ten seconds, returning to the nearest player in the returning variant, and grass that can be dyed in vanilla colors and spread over dirt. Players can also compress slime blocks to increase their bounce, and craft ordinary Crafting Tables from any wood planks recognized by the ore dictionary.
