Runic Skills turns the experience players earn through ordinary Minecraft activities into a character-progression resource: they spend it to level ten skills, with rising costs encouraging specialization rather than maxing everything. The skills are Magic, Endurance, Tinkering, Fortune, Dexterity, Strength, Intelligence, Building, Constitution, and Wisdom, spanning spellcasting and defence as well as crafting, mining, combat, farming, and survival. Skill levels unlock toggleable perks, including mining an entire ore vein at once, opening an Ender Chest remotely, improving villager prices, and cleaving into groups of enemies; a limited number of active slots makes choosing a build part of progression. Players can also invest in permanent attribute bonuses such as health, attack damage, movement speed, armour toughness, and projectile damage, which use Minecraft’s attribute system to work alongside gear and other mods. With Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks installed, a separate Powers loadout adds magic specializations arranged into Marks, Seals, and Crowns, covering the nine magic schools as well as broader effects. Players earn titles for milestones such as defeating major bosses or advancing skills, and can display them above their names; optional skill-based equipment requirements show their conditions in item tooltips and can be disabled. Optional integrations connect progression to mods such as Ars Nouveau, Apotheosis, FTB Quests, Farmer’s Delight, Ice and Fire, Cataclysm, and several firearm mods, adding effects such as magic synergies, gem progression, quest requirements, and gear requirements. Pack authors can configure skill caps, XP costs, perk limits, and equipment requirements, and use datapacks or KubeJS to customize titles, perk groups, skill artwork, and progression content; FTB Quests can also check skill levels, perks, passives, and titles. In multiplayer, the server controls and synchronizes gameplay rules, while player progression is saved with world data.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Modpacks that include Runic Skills in at least one of their versions, most downloaded first.
Mods that modpacks often add together with Runic Skills. Share: how many of the modpacks with Runic Skills also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. The files for recent versions come first. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 8 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 5 points.
