About
Skillable adds a skill-leveling and progression system in which players spend XP to raise eight skills, unlock traits, and gain passive character boosts. Skill levels can gate the use or mining of items and blocks; for example, the default rules require Mining level 16 to use a diamond pickaxe, and the configuration can add further locks based on skills or achievements. The skill menu shows skill status and lets players spend skill points to unlock traits, while skill icons become more elaborate as levels rise and a golden border marks a capped skill. The mod also changes sheep drops so killing them does not yield wool, making shears necessary to obtain wool for a bed.
