Somake Spells is an Iron’s Spells add-on created for the Somake Network server, expanding its magic system with more than 50 spells across elemental schools and related spell paths. Its Aqua school adds aquatic magic, including Tidal Grasp, which pulls enemies with an anchor, Tsunami’s damaging waves, Water Control’s channeled mass of water, and an allied Drowned whose strength scales with Aqua. Other spells span varied combat and support effects: Firestorm Vortex draws enemies into a burning cyclone, Lightning Lash pulls a target with a crack of lightning, and Blessed Connection shares healing between linked targets. Blood magic includes attacks such as Fragmented Requiem, which raises and drops a ring of swords, and Withered Rose Vortex, which pulls enemies into a damaging, withering petal tornado; it also offers abilities such as temporary invulnerability and life-stealing buffs. Spirit spells can become Evocation spells when Magic from the East is absent, while the Red Soul path adds a progression challenge: charge a Red Soul Lantern with Spirit spells, summon the Red Echo, and defeat it to awaken a timed combat mode with its own HUD and bonuses. The add-on also provides Symmetry, Melody, Holy, Ender, Geo, Ice, Nature and Evocation-related spells, with some schools or spell variants depending on integrations such as Magic from the East, Tunes n’ Tomes or Legendary Monsters. Spellbooks and grimoires support progression: many books upgrade through three tiers, increasing spell slots, mana and school power, and some grant an affinity that raises a particular spell’s level; grimoires are held in the off-hand and let players pursue either the Blood or Holy path. Equipment includes school-focused staves such as the Aquamancer Staff and Withered Rose Staff, upgradeable Fragmented Swords, and armor sets including Aquamancer, Abyssium and Dark Metal Battlemage, which provides Wither immunity as a full set. Fire progression uses rituals at Cataclysm’s Altar of Ignis to advance toward Soul Fire and Infernal Fire, including upgrades for the Ignitium Staff; a configurable change also makes Iron’s Spells’ Charge effect grant Lightning Magic Power rather than generic power and speed. The mod is designed to integrate with content such as L_Ender’s Cataclysm, Born in Chaos, Apothic Attributes, Magic from the East and optional additions including Geomancy Plus, Tunes n’ Tomes and Companions Mod.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: Mobs and their behaviorChanges 1 game code file in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act..
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
