About
Straw Golem Reborn adds a farm helper that automatically harvests mature crops, replants them, and carries the harvest to a nearby chest or other container. You create one by placing a carved pumpkin on a hay bale near your farm; it can find a suitable container on its own, or you can designate one directly. The golem supports modded crops, including stem-grown pumpkins and melons, and crop selection and its harvesting, replanting, and delivery behaviors can be configured. Golems have a limited, configurable lifespan: weather, water, and damage can wear them down, while wheat restores lifespan and heals them. As a golem ages, its texture decays and flies may hover nearby; it also shivers in rain or cold, and a straw hat can protect it from rain. They tend to avoid players and flee raiders or hungry farm animals, sometimes dropping anything they were carrying as they flee. Optional features such as lifespan and hunger can be adjusted or disabled, and tooltip mods including HWYLA, WTHIT, and Jade can display golem status.
