A vanilla-style adventure with new biomes, creatures, and places to explore.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 227 graded mods, 153 are graded A or B, 54 C and 20 D to F. Its last update came out 3.3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Better MC [FORGE] BMC2 is a vanilla-plus modpack that expands Minecraft with new places to explore, creatures to encounter, gear to obtain, and quality-of-life features. Oh The Biomes You'll Go adds biomes across the Overworld, Nether, and End, while Everbight, Everdawn, and Twilight Forest provide three additional dimensions. Exploration includes new dungeons and structures from Additional Structures and When Dungeons Arise, with Xaero’s World Map, Xaero’s Minimap, and Waystones supporting navigation and travel. The pack adds creatures, mobs, and bosses from Alex’s Mobs and Ender Cataclysm, upgraded Netherite gear, and the ability to grow and ride a dragon with Dragon Mounts Legacy.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 22 Jul 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 22 Mar 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 234 of its 235 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 223 of its 224 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 20 of the 196 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
28 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
