About
Tarot Cards adds all 22 Major Arcana as collectible cards that grant passive abilities while carried in the player’s inventory or stored in a Tarot Deck; using a card toggles its effect, and duplicate cards of the same type do not stack. Cards are not craftable by default and can be found in loot chests, including desert pyramids, dungeons, End cities, Nether fortresses, mineshafts, shipwrecks, stronghold libraries, and village temples. Their effects span combat, survival, exploration, and utility: Death boosts damage against non-undead mobs, Justice returns damage to an attacker, Strength grants Strength II, the Moon provides Night Vision, the Tower prevents fall damage, and the High Priestess upgrades held enchantment books using experience. Other cards affect nearby creatures and players: the Empress helps nearby animals breed and their babies grow faster, the Lovers grants nearby allies Regeneration III, and the World applies Slowness III to nearby mobs. The Tarot Deck holds one of each card, keeps them organized, and applies their effects while they are inside; it can also be equipped in a Curios slot when that mod is installed and is fire- and lava-resistant. Loot generation and nearly all card settings can be adjusted through configuration or data packs, including the chance of finding a card and whether the mod adds cards to its default loot tables.
