Alaskan Wilderness is a survival modpack that casts you as an expedition member stranded in the Alaskan wilderness, cut off from the outside world and faced with an abandoned, deteriorating place to stay. Its focus is on finding or making shelter, gathering supplies, staying warm through harsh weather and seasons, and surviving the wilderness, including the threat of bears. The pack builds its landscape with world-generation and biome mods including Tectonic, Regions Unexplored, William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld, and River Redux, and uses Distant Horizons to reveal the scale of the terrain from high ground. Survival and outdoor activities are supported by Legendary Survival Overhaul, Serene Seasons, Nutritional Balance, Farmer's Delight, Simple Farming, True Fishing, and North American Fishes. Wildlife and threats include animals from Alex's Mobs and Naturalist, alongside mob-spawning changes from Bad Mobs, Farsighted Mobs, and Limit Mob Spawn. Create, Spartan Weaponry, and MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished add options for crafting, weapons, and furnishing a shelter.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 29 Apr 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 68 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 59 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 58 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
1 mod is not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
