An alpha-era world where Herobrine lurks in the shadows.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 24 graded mods, 21 are graded A or B, 2 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 2.6 years ago, for Minecraft 1.19.4. See the mods
Alpha Herobrine recreates the look and feel of Minecraft’s alpha era while bringing the legendary Herobrine into a modern modpack. Its menus, window title and icon, textures, sounds, and text are styled after alpha Minecraft, and it replaces modern world generation with an older alpha-style generation and restores the Farlands. Herobrine’s presence comes through From The Fog, with strange structures discoverable from the start and larger events beginning after a configurable delay. The pack also removes hunger and sprinting and brings back the old bow mechanic for a more nostalgic style of play. Essential support lets players invite friends for multiplayer without setting up a server, while performance-focused mods such as Sodium and Lithium are included.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.19.4 · Fabric, 2 Mar 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
A Warning in the files in the pack itself
We checked all 26 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
A Warning is not proof of malware.

Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
essential/Essential (fabric_1.19.4).jar2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 25 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
