A modpack for exploring and building in Tolkien's Middle-earth.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 104 graded mods, 83 are graded A or B, 15 C and 6 D to F. Its last update came out 2 months ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
ArdaCraft is a server-focused modpack for exploring a detailed Minecraft recreation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, built to reflect the places and landscapes of his legendarium. The world includes regions such as the Shire, Bree-land, Eriador, Rohan and Gondor, with recognizable locations including Hobbiton, Bag End, Rivendell, Isengard, Minas Tirith, the Argonath and Moria. Create adds moving elements to the world, including features such as watermills and gates, while Distant Horizons lets players see far across the map. A separate plots world lets players claim a building plot and create projects with Conquest Reforged, including alongside friends. Visual and atmosphere features include shaders, configurable fog blocks, a custom sky with geographically accurate sun and moon positions and stars, and in-game music. The modpack also includes visual and performance-optimization mods to support exploring and building on the server.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric, 25 Aug 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 29 Jun 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 109 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 106 of its 107 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 107 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
