Build magical factories by combining machinery, spells, and automation.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 193 graded mods, 135 are graded A or B, 41 C and 17 D to F. Its last update came out 3 years ago, for Minecraft 1.18.2. See the mods
Create: Arcane Engineering is a quest-driven modpack about combining factory automation and magic, progressing from modest beginnings toward powerful artifacts and late-game machinery. Its technology side draws on Create, PneumaticCraft, and Thermal Expansion, while the magic side features Forbidden & Arcanus and Ars Nouveau; the two paths can start independently, but later recipes bring them together to unlock advanced content in both. Engineering progression takes players through reworked tree farms that yield materials such as rubber and menril resin, skystone refining for redstone, and pressure technology for oil, biomass, plastic, and radiance, culminating in factories for PCBs and other computer-like components. Magic progression includes building a crystal factory and Source garden, harvesting and corrupting souls, unlocking Arcane obelisks, and exploring necromancy and automated wither farming before using the Hephaestus Forge to make powerful items. Create trains and magical transport methods both support moving cargo, while custom recipes and automation tasks connect the pack’s machinery and spellcraft. The pack also includes dedicated ore- and Netherrack-automation quest chapters, and later magic chapters feature unusual automation lines.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.18.2 · Forge, 8 Nov 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 8 Nov 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 197 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 196 of its 197 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 19 of the 159 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
38 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
