Cuboid Outpost (Luxury Edition) is a beginner-to-intermediate tech modpack about surviving after you are stranded on a barren planet and rebuilding civilization through a quest-led storyline. Starting at Cuboid Outpost 42 with limited supplies and equipment, you follow a digital survival guide through a skyblock-like but non-skyblock experience involving mining, Ex Nihilo Sequentia, unusual recipes, and a route toward new dimensions. The pack adds ores, items, blocks, and machines made specifically for it, along with a different way to reach the Nether and End the first time and extra content for those dimensions and the final dimension. Luxury Edition keeps the original pack’s quests, story, and progression, but is aimed at players and communities with higher-spec computers and adds more building choices, gadgets, and quality-of-life features. Its additional building and decoration options include Chipped, Chisel, Decorative Blocks, Framed Blocks, Masonry, Macaw’s Lights and Paintings, Supplementaries, and Bamboo Blocks; building tools include Building Gadgets, RFTools Builder, Corail Woodcutter, and Portable Stonecutter. Further additions include Dank Storage, Double Doors, Simple Magnets, TOP Addons, and technology extensions for Applied Energistics 2 and Refined Storage, including wireless terminals and an Infinity Booster. The tech progression keeps alternatives limited to make the pack approachable: Applied Energistics 2 storage starts with channels disabled, while Refined Storage becomes available later.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 4 Aug 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 31 Jul 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 172 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (4 Aug 2024) in the 144 mods we checked.
8 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
28 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and code history and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
