About
Essential Sodium is a preconfigured, client-side modpack intended to provide a convenient alternative to the Feather Client, combining Sodium-based performance optimization with commonly desired client features. It includes max brightness, fog removal, zoom, and toggle-or-hold auto-sprint, along with client-side mods that provide features associated with OptiFine. On supported versions, it also adds dynamic player animations, fluid water physics, and revised explosion effects. Included resource-pack support covers Translations for Sodium, Default Dark Mode, Fresh Animations, and Fresh Animations: Player Extension, adding localization, a dark interface, and expressive mob and player animations. The pack is designed for multiplayer use without requiring installation on the server and is described as compatible with almost all multiplayer environments.
