Fantasy Vs. Science: Quarks & Magic is a Dr. Stone-inspired adventure modpack about rebuilding civilization and investigating the mysterious light that petrified humanity, with Senku as your partner in uncovering its cause. A guided main-story questline teaches progression from Stone Age survival toward the Space Age, introducing science and technology step by step, from making fire and flint tools to producing electricity and crafting powerful magnets from lightning. Progress involves experimenting with more realistic crafting recipes, exploring a dangerous world, and managing thirst and temperature while building a civilization with friends. The story includes four boss battles against Magma, Tsukasa, Hyoga, Ibara, and Stanley, as well as NPCs, daily quests, and a later Beyond Future chapter centered on dimension travel and powerful enemies. As the story advances, players can unlock NPCs to interact and trade with, earn Dracos, take on jobs, and use an RPG combat system; exploration and combat also offer additional rewards. The pack adds a broad mix of science and fantasy systems, including chemistry and alchemy, Mekanism technology, Create machinery, Ad Astra space travel, Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks, and combat content such as Epic Fight and L_Ender’s Cataclysm.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 8 Dec 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 25 Nov 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 191 of its 194 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 190 of its 193 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 10 of the 155 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
38 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
