A modpack built around lesser-known mods to explore.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 116 graded mods, 50 are graded A or B, 22 C and 44 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
FTB Horizons III is a modpack designed to introduce players to lesser-known Minecraft mods that are not often included in larger FTB packs. Its featured mods include Astral Sorcery, Cyclic, EvilCraft, Integrated Dynamics, Silent Gems, and The Lost Cities, alongside more familiar additions that fill out the experience. The broader selection includes building and world-generation tools such as Chisel, Chisel and Bits, Biomes o’ Plenty, and Xtones; storage options including Refined Storage, Storage Drawers, and Simple Storage Network; and exploration features such as Waystones and JourneyMap. Mods are generally kept close to their default settings, so players can use the information and resources available for those mods as they play.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 5 Sep 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 21 Jun 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 121 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 121 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (5 Sep 2024) in the 71 mods we checked.
9 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
50 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
