About
Mystical World is a lightweight, vanilla-inspired content mod that adds creatures, materials, food, structures, and small mechanics to make exploration and everyday world activities feel more alive; it also supplies components used by Roots 3. Its creatures include owls, silkworms that grow into silk-producing cocoons, three varieties of deer, tameable lava cats that change from fire-dealing lava to hard-hitting obsidian when exposed to water, shoulder-riding beetles, slime-producing frogs, protective tameable foxes, neutral Enderminis, and four varieties of sprouts. Exploration can turn up charred trees and two plains structures: huts, which may conceal danger in their basements, and undead-haunted barrows that hold buried treasure. The mod adds copper, silver, and amethyst ores and tools, as well as faster-attacking knives; it also introduces aubergine crops and dishes, cooked calamari, and a hearty Epic Squid meal with useful buffs. For building, charred wood can be made into familiar wood parts, while dirt and water can be turned into mud blocks and bricks and crafted into building pieces. Other useful mechanics include collecting ink from squids with a glass bottle and using the resulting ink bottle in place of black dye.
